Man throws gas tank into campfire during argument over shape of Earth after son’s girlfriend insisted it is flat

Police are looking to arrest a man on a charge of mischief after allegedly throwing a gas tank into a campfire during an argument over the shape of planet Earth, according to police in Canada.

Brockville police said that the man, who was not identified, became very angry after his son’s girlfriend insisted that Earth is flat.

In response, he threw items into the campfire, including a gas tank that exploded. Firefighters were called to the scene, and they extinguished the fire.

By the time police arrived at the scene, the 56-year-old man was gone. Police plan to charge the man with one count of mischief when he is caught.

The incident unfolded around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, when the man, his son and his son’s girlfriend were sitting around a campfire.
