A hotel is facing backlash after its workers were seen being involved in killing a shark.

The group were seen on video walking into the water and pulling the shark out with a rope.

The group involved tourists, lifeguards and hotel employees of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic.

The shocking video showed the group pulling the shark to the beach and they placed a tube into its mouth so that the shark does not bite anyone.

When the shark kept fighting, someone placed a stick into its mouth. The group then posed for photos with the shark.

Sadly, their actions caused the shark to die.

After videos of the incident were uploaded to the Internet, Hard Rock Hotel spokesperson Stacy Sorino said that resort management was made aware of the incident, and that appropriate action are being taken against the employees who were involved.
