(Scroll down for video) A man said that his family was torn apart after a girl claimed that she saw him with his pants down and sexually abusing their dog.

44-year-old Daniel Reinsvold of Wisconsin, was found not guilty of sexual gratification with an animal and animal mistreatment.

Reinsvold admitted in court that he entered his co-worker’s home in West Salem, without permission because he urgently needed to use the bathroom and not have sexual contact with the family’s golden retriever.

Reinsvold did some work for the family so he knew where they kept a spare key. Reinsvold was however, convicted of trespassing and disorderly conduct.

The jury of six men and six women deliberated for about an hour and a half after a one-day trial. They had to weigh Reinsvold’s words against that of the family’s 17-year-old child who said she came home to find him on top of the family dog.

Sabrina MacRogers testified in court that she entered the basement of their home and found Reinsvold with his pants down and his hands and knees over the dog named Cooper.

She said that Reinsvold got up and quickly pulled his pants up.

MacRogers said she was shaken and she went to the bathroom, but when she came out, Reinsvold had disappeared.
