A pregnant woman was horrified to learn that her new husband was killed while trying to help a couple during their domestic dispute.

20-year-old Ricardo Vaca of Florida, was a happy man. He got married just three weeks ago, and his wife is expecting a baby baby girl.

Sadly, the life of the father-to-be was cut short by his angry neighbor.

Police said that Vaca, tried to intervene in the domestic dispute between 44-year-old Amparo Moreno and her husband Placido Moreno-Torres, 47, of Lehigh Acres.

Police believe that Vaca, acted as a good Samaritan when he tried to help the couple after he became concerned hearing the couple arguing in their driveway on 9th Street West.

However, when he tried to intervene and mediate, the husband became more irritated and angry. Moreno-Torres pulled a gun, and shot and killed both Vaca and his wife.

Police were called after 9:20 p.m., to the double murder. They located Moreno-Torres, and he was booked into the Lee County Jail. He was charged with two counts of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
