(Scroll down for video) People were disgusted by a video showing unsanitary conditions at Dunkin’ Donuts in Massachusett.

The video that was uploaded to the Internet, shows the Dunkin' Donuts manager dropping donuts on the floor.

She then picked the donuts up and placed them back on the shelf before they were served to customers.

A former employee, 20-year-old college student Liam Flaherty, said that the incident happened before the store opened while the employees were getting the store ready.

Flaherty said that he brought the issue to the attention of the owners, but after they declined to take action against the manager, he resigned and posted the video to Facebook, where he wrote: “Here is the manager at Dunkin’ Donuts in Mendon, dropping an entire tray of fresh donuts on the disease ridden ground and trying to hide them so she could still serve them.”

A spokesperson for Dunkin’ Donuts said: “The actions seen in the video at a franchised Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant are absolutely inconsistent with our strict food safety standards and requirements.

“According to the franchisee, upon hearing of this incident, he investigated the matter and met with the employee to discuss the fact that the donuts should have been immediately disposed of in keeping with our standards.”

However, the company refused to disclose if the woman who placed customers in harm's way, was fired or if she still works at the store.
