A couple was arrested for having sex in public, police in California said.
The man and woman were arrested in Modesto, after police said they had sex in a grassy area at a busy intersection.
A patrol officer spotted 48-year-old Mary Anzaldua, making love to 29-year-old Raymond Chavez, in broad daylight.
A spokesperson for the Modesto Police Department, spokeswoman Heather Graves, said that the incident occurred on 19th Street at the intersection of H Street and La Loma Avenue.
The officer ordered the couple to stop being intimate in the street, but when they did not listen, they were arrested.
Anzaldua was booked on charges of lewd acts and public drunkenness.
Chavez Ceres was booked on charges of lewd acts and violating probation, police said.
According to court records, Chavez was arrested in 2011 on suspicion of shooting five to 10 bullets in a bar, injuring a man who was hit by one of the bullets.
Chavez shot at the bar after he and his friends were kicked out of the establishment.
