A woman who tried to quickly catch Pokemon, is now behind bars after stealing a bicycle from a young boy to get around town faster, according to police in New York.
The Genesee County Sheriff's Office said that they have arrested 26-year-old Brandi-Lyn Heidenreich, after being accused of stealing the bicycle from a 13-year-old boy.
Heidenreich has been charged with one count of larceny.
According to the police investigation, the 13-year-old boy had left the bicycle outside a business to visit his mother at work.
Heidenreich then took the bike so that she could move faster while playing Pokemon Go and catch more characters. She then took the bike home with her and left it outside her residence.
The boy and his mother reported the bike stolen. Police later found Heidenreich walking in the area. Police found the bike outside the suspect’s home.
The bike was returned to the 13-year-old boy and his mother.
