A woman was arrested after driving a golf cart with her drunk husband hanging from the back.

The couple of Illinois, were on vacation in Tennessee, when they were out drinking with family members.

When they returned home, they and another couple decided to go get some food.

Lori Doyle, 55, got into a golf cart and her female companion sat in the front seat. Her husband, Timothy Doyle, 60, and the other man, went to the back of the golf cart.

The men held on to the roof of the cart. During the trip, Lori took a sharp turn, causing her drunk husband to fall off the golf cart.

He fell and hit his head in the concrete after 9:10 p.m. He was rushed to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died three days later.

Police arrived to the scene and found three cans of open beers, one on the roof of the golf cart.

Lori was charged with driving under the influence and vehicular assault.

The couple loved each other, and were married for 19 years.
