Police launched an investigation after a mother recorded herself beating up her teenage daughter because she disrespected herself by posting provocative photos on the Internet, according to police in Georgia.

Savannah police said that they decided not to file any charges against the mother because 16-year-old Nia Green, told them that she feels safe at home.

They did however, notify the child welfare department about the incident.

The video, which was live streamed on Facebook, showed Shanavia Miller, beating and cursing her daughter because she posted numerous provocative photos on the Internet.

Green wrote: “First off, I shouldn't have embarrassed my mother. I love her. I shouldn't even been doing what I did. No, I didn't have Vari in my house when she said not to. I was at his house. I’m only 16 years old.

“I was going to open up and tell her that I was having sex. I was just going to wait a couple of days to see how I was going to tell her.

“I understand why she did what she did. I did go to the hospital only because I have attacks and real bad headaches. I embarrassed my mother so she embarrassed me. I’m not defending the live video. I know next time to just keep my business to myself.”
