Jacksonville police said that they have arrested 30-year-old Percy Stucks, after being accused of shooting 39-year-old Dorelle Davis.
Stucks was found and arrested in Richmond Hills, Georgia.
Stucks was charged with tampering with evidence and murder.
He was booked into the Duval County Jail, pending a bail hearing.
According to the police, officers were called the an apartment complex on Eaverson Street in Jacksonville, where they found evidence of a murder in one of the rooms.
Police then searched for Stucks and Davis, who had been living in the room for about three weeks. Richmond Hills police found Stucks in a motel room later that night.
Stucks admitted that he and Davis were arguing about how much time they spent together. Stucks pulled a gun and shot Davis in the head.
Stucks left the body in the room and went to Pensacola. Two days later, Stucks decided to return Jacksonville and clean the room.
He wrapped the body in a carpet and blankets, put it in the back of his truck and later dumped it. He then went to Richmond Hills and rented the room where he was later found by police.
