(Scroll down for video) A woman was shocked to find an urn containing the ashes of a man who died 28 years ago while shopping for furniture at a thrift store in Florida.

Brittany Gaither was in the Coronado Thrift and Boutique Shop in New Smyrna Beach, when she opened the drawers of one of the dressers on display.

She found a wooden box with the name of Robert Roy "Rusty" Fanning. The date of his cremation was shown as 1988 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Gaither decided to upload a photo of the urn on Facebook, in order to contact a family member and return the lost urn.

The post went viral, and she was contacted by family members who asked for the urn as the wanted to spread the ashes in Flagstaff.

Gaither mailed the urn, but when the family opened the wooden box, the ashes weren’t inside. The family said that they are still happy that they found the urn.
