A grandmother of Ohio, is proud of her actions of being vigilant and thereby saving a girl from potentially being raped.

Christine Thornton said that she noticed a man driving a car with a child almost completely covered by a blanket.

She walked over to the car to see what was going on and tried to speak to the child.

She then realized that the driver looked like the man who was convicted of sex assaults against three underage girls in two separate cases.

At first, Thornton said, she wanted to kick the door in and rescue the girl, but she decided to leave it up to police.

She called for help and police found a 17-year-old girl in the car with the 46-year-old sex offender.

Police said that the man was arrested because he is on parole. He recently got out of prison after serving nearly 12 years for sex crimes against three underage girls.

The 17-year-old girl told police that she met the man a few weeks ago, but she claims that they were never intimate. The victim’s mother said that she had no idea that her daughter went out with the 46-year-old man.
