Police launched an investigation after a woman working at Johnson Controls in Pennsylvania, was crushed to death by a large air conditioner, according to police.
37-year-old Jennifer Wright of West York, was working at the at the plant located at 1499 E. Philadelphia Street, when she was helping load the air conditioner onto a trailer.
Unfortunately, the 3,200-pound commercial unit fell on the woman around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Police officers who arrived at the scene, found the worker had been trapped under the air conditioner
Several employees were able to release the woman, and they began CPR. She was taken to the York Hospital for further treatment, but was pronounced dead.
According to the police investigation, the woman was under the air condition while it was suspended in the air before it fell. Wright was a temporary employee at the plant.
