A man of India, was arrested in the United States, for molesting a woman on an airplane.

Federal prosecutors said that the man inappropriately touched the woman while she was sleeping on board a flight from Los Angeles, California, to Newark, New Jersey.

58-year-old Veerabhadrarao Kunama touched the woman in a sexual manner while she dozed off in the middle seat next to him, according to U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman.

“The victim awoke to find Kunam's hands massaging her private parts and behind over her pants,” according to the complaint filed against Kunam in federal court in New Jersey.

The woman alerted her traveling male companion, who confronted Kunama.

Kunam allegedly said that he wanted everyone to forget about the incident, and he offered to buy the man a drink for any trouble he may have caused, prosecutors said.

The man refused and reported the incident to the flight crew, who moved the suspect to another seat. Kunam allegedly told the fight attended that he would not touch the victim again.

Police arrested Kunama when the plane landed. His attorney Alexander Spiro, declined to comment on the accusations.
