(Scroll down for video) A black woman was terrified when she was pulled over by police for no apparent reason.

A video of the incident was uploaded to the Internet, where it went viral.

The video shows the Virginia police officer pulling over the woman who had a male companion in the passenger seat.

The police officer asked the woman if she knows why she was pulled over. With a frightened look on her face, the woman said “no.”

Police Chief Kevin Lands and Officer Brian Warner then told the woman that they decided to stop drivers in the town of Halifax who are “breaking the law” of driving without ice cream cones on a hot summer's day.

The woman was relieved and she began laughing as the officer handed her two ice cream cones, one for her and one for her passenger.
