An angry uncle who became really upset that his niece did not give him a new pair of shoes he wanted, decided to shoot her dead, according to police in Washington.
Now, 25-year-old Si Phu of Seattle, faces up to 32 years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of 14-year-old Christy Nguyen Phu.
According to the police investigation, late last year, Si threatened his niece Christy with a gun, but his brother and her father intervened.
The following month, Christy placed a pair of shoes next to the door of her uncle’s room, but he did not want them because they were old.
In response, Si kicked open the door of her bedroom, put a gun against her head and fired, killing her instantly. The victim’s 16-year-old cousin was in the room and witnessed the murder.
Si then called her father to say that he killed his daughter and hung up the phone.
Last year, Si was convicted of cyberstalking after sending text messages to his former girlfriend, threatening to kill her and her young son because she refused to get back with him.
