Elderly Trump supporter beats his wife because she supports Clinton

An argument about the upcoming presidential election in the United States, turned violent when an elderly Trump supporter beat his wife because she supports Clinton, according to police in Florida.

Bradenton police said that they have arrested 78-year-old Lawrence Littman, after being accused of beating his wife Elvia, 73.

Littman was charged with one count of battery on a person over 65. He was booked into jail, and his bail was set at $500. A judge ordered Littman to stay away from his wife of 20 years.

According to the police investigation, on Wednesday night, the husband and wife began arguing about whether to support Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton.

Elvia told investigators that during the argument, Littman called her many derogatory names before grabbing her wrist and throwing her into a chair.

Elvia went to another room in the house to get away from her husband, but he followed her, grabbed her by the arm and threw her to the ground.

Littman claimed that his wife tried to slap him in the face for supporting Trump. In response, he pushed her away and she fell to the ground.
