A police officer was arrested on a charge of sodomy after allegedly forcing a man to perform a sex act on him during a traffic stop, according to police in Alabama.
Montgomery police said that they have arrested 27-year-old Deonte Lashawn Hamner, after being accused of using his gun to force a suspect to perform a sex act on him.
After being charged with sexual assault and sodomy, Hamner was placed on administrative leave with pay. He was booked into the Montgomery County Detention Facility, and his bail was set at $60,000.
According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Thursday around 9:00 p.m., while Hamner was on duty. The officer stopped the victim’s vehicle after being called to investigate a noise complaint.
During the traffic stop, Hamner pulled out his gun and threatened the victim. He then forced the victim to perform a sex act on him.
