Memphis police said that they have arrested 38-year-old Dayton Smith, after pulling her over while driving a car filled with drugs.

Smith was charged with criminal exposure to HIV, aggravated assault, possession of crack, possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, resisting official detention, driving on a suspended license and driving without insurance.

She was booked into jail, and her bail was set at $50,000.

According to the criminal complaint, two officers saw a 2007 Chrysler 300 with a tag that has expired more than two years ago, and decided to stop the driver.

Smith was driving with a suspended license, and was unable to provide proof of insurance. While police searched her car, they found marijuana, crack and cocaine.

Smith was placed in the back of a police cruiser, where she started banging on the door. She told the officers that she had to go to the bathroom.

When she was told that she had to wait, she became angry and tried to escape. As she was tackled to the ground, Smith bit a police officer’s arm, drawing blood.

Both the officer and Smith were taken to a hospital with injuries. Smith told doctors that she is HIV positive and had AIDS.
