A teenager was arrested on a charge of theft after stealing items from a man on the street before asking him to become his partner in crime, according to police in the united Kingdom.
Now, 19-year-old Huzaifa Greenspan of Hatfield, has been sentenced to serve four years in a young offenders institute after being convicted of two counts of robbery and possessing a bladed article.
According to the police investigation, in the early hours of Sunday, a man was walking past the entrance of The Galleria, when Greenspan approached and produced a knife.
He demanded money and pushed the man who handed over 20 pounds ($26). Greenspan then searched the terrified man, taking two iPhones from him as well as his cigarettes and two pizza pies.
When Greenspan saw a second man approaching, he offered to return the stone items to the first victim if he helped him rob the second victim.
Greenspan then placed the man in a headlock, dragged him to a nearby ATM and made him withdraw more than 100 pounds ($132).
Greenspan was homeless at the time of the theft, and he was cold and hungry, the court was told.
