At least 15 people were injured during a parade after a man who hated noise, threw a bomb into the crowd before killing himself, according to police in Japan.

Tokyo police said that the 68-year-old man, who was not identified, complained about the noise coming from the street festival to several neighbors before throwing the bomb.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday. 15 people, including a 1-year-old girl, suffered serious injuries as a result of the attack.

People at the scene told police that the bomb was thrown from the window of an apartment. Police and firefighters who broke into the apartment, found the suspect hanging by a rope from the ceiling.

A neighbor told investigators that the suspect had been depressed after losing his wife last year. He also complained that the noise from the parade was too loud for him.

At first, people thought that the bomb was thrown by a terrorist, but police assured the public that this was not the case.
