United States Postal Service mail carrier caught dumping large quantity of mail in dumpster

(Scroll down for video) Business owners and residents in Florida, are angry after a United States Postal Service mail carrier was caught on video dumping a large quantity of mail in a dumpster.

The inspector general's office in Lee County, have launched an investigation to identify the woman who was caught dumping mail in the garbage bin located outside the Luigina's Pizza & Grill restaurant.

The incident unfolded on Saturday, and was recorded on the store’s surveillance cameras.

In the video, the postal worker was seen driving her truck and stopping right next to the garbage container before dumping a whole tray full mail.

Louie Rondao, the owner of the restaurant, noticed the woman and immediately called his wife. She went to look in the garbage bin, where she found many postcards, letters, checks and bills.

400 business flyers belonging to realtor Hudson Warren, were found in the dumpster. Warren said that he is very angry as the flyers are a major parts of his advertising strategy and are expensive.

Rondao called USPS on Saturday, but agents only arrived on Monday morning to investigate. If convicted, the woman faces five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
