Police officers and firefighters in New York, have enjoyed a close relationship with one another for many years.
However, things took a turn when officers learned that the fire captain of Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, was making money by secretly spreading hate against them.
Kaseem Ryan earned $148,558 as a fire captain last year. He and his wife Michelle Valdez, own a $1.25 million house in Park Slope.
However, while Ryan is very respected for his position in the community over his day job, he performs under the rap name Ka and sings about the “ghetto life.” He bashes the police with his anti-police lyrics.
Ryan admitted that he lived a double life. During an interview about his rap career, he did not disclose what his day job was.
The rapper, identified on Twitter as @BrownsvilleKa, released a new album and his career was exposed.
In one song from 2013 he sings: “F**k them cops and swats with night vision. I see your traps and your plots to dead us.”
