A man was arrested on a charge of attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his teenage nephew who took cold beer from his fridge, according to police in Florida.
Frostproof police said that they have arrested 29-year-old Bryan Hartsburg, after being accused of trying to kill 18-year-old Taylor Hartsburg.
Bryan has been charged with attempted murder in the first-degree, tampering with a witness and selling or giving alcohol to a person under 21 years old.
He was booked into the Polk County Jail. According to the police investigation, Taylor gave money to Bryan so that he could buy them beer.
They began drinking together around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. At some point, Bryan started yelling at his nephew for taking his beer from the fridge.
Taylor quickly left the room and locked himself in a bedroom as he was afraid of his uncle. Bryan forced open the door and charged at his nephew with a knife.
He then stabbed him several times in the neck stomach and back. A witness tried to call police, but Bryan ripped the phone cord from the wall.
He also took the caller’s cellphone. Taylor ran to the neighbors to get help.
