A woman was arrested on a charge of assault after allegedly pouring bleach on her boyfriend’s face while she was moving out of his home, according to police in New Jersey.
Trenton police said that they have arrested 34-year-old Patrice D. Branch, after being accused of assaulting her 41-year-old boyfriend with bleach and hitting him with a piece of wood.
In court, Branch pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault. She was booked into jail, and her bail was set at $2,500.
According to the criminal complaint, officers were called to the couple’s home in the 100 block of Old Rose Street, on Tuesday around 9:30 p.m.
When they arrived, the 41-year-old boyfriend told them that he had gotten into a verbal dispute with his girlfriend when she was packing her belongings.
During the dispute, Branch poured what is believed to be bleach in the face and chest of the victim, causing his eyes to burn.
Branch then pulled a wooden bedpost and hit the victim in the thigh. She then moved out of the residence.
