Lake Worth police said that they have arrested 19-year-old Brandi Nicole Seipe, after performing a procedure on a woman's dog, which left the animal in pain.
Seipe has been charged with animal cruelty and unlicensed veterinary practice. Seipe was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail, and her bail was set at $3,000.
If convicted, she faces up to 5 years in jail and a fine of up to $5,000.
According to the criminal complaint, the dog's owner, Natalie Nunez, was told to visit Seipe, after she purchased her pet named King.
Nunez paid Seipe $80 to cut off the Puppy’s ears. Seipe told Nunez that she cannot be present during the procedure. Several days later, Nunez took the dog to another vet after King was in pain.
The vet was horrified to see that King’s ear cartilage was visible while the cuts were stitched up with fishing line. Seipe did not give Nunez any medication or bandages.
