(Scroll down for video) A driver in Russia, was shocked to receive a ticket because the shadow of his car crossed the solid white line of a road.
The driver was upset when he received a letter in the mail along with a photo of the traffic violation he committed.
The man said that he was driving in Moscow, when the alleged offense occurred.
The driver was accused of crossing the solid white line of the road, but the photo shows that he was in his lane.
However, the shadow of his car had crossed the line.
The driver took to the Internet to vent his frustration. He posted photos of his “violation,” which was taken by traffic cameras.
He also wrote: “Cameras want us to pay fines even if car shadows violate traffic rules.”
The man also filed a complaint with the traffic police. They responded by saying that the matter was the result of a technical malfunction of the cameras. They promised to cancel the fine.
Another driver filed a complaint with police when he received a fine after photos showed the glare of the car’s headlights crossing the solid white line. Authorities said that they will look into the matter and correct the problem.
