A man was arrested on a charge of burglary after allegedly breaking into a woman’s home and walking into her bathroom while she was taking a shower, according to police in Washington.
The Seattle Police Department said that they have arrested the 31-year-old man, who was not identified, on Sunday, after he approached the woman as she was working in her yard and told her that he wanted to have sex with her.
He was booked into the King County Jail.
The victim told police that the suspect approached her around 3:00 P.M., while she was working in her garden near the 4100 block of 12th Avenue Northeast.
When he informed her that he wanted to have sex, the woman immediately left her yard and went inside her home. Hours later, around 7:00 P.M., the woman was taking a shower when she heard someone trying to get into the bathroom.
The woman thought it might be one of her roommates and opened the door, only to find the suspect.
The woman began screaming for help, and one of her roommates grabbed the suspect and shoved him out the door of the home.
Officers arrived on the scene minutes later, and arrested the suspect in a nearby alley.
While investigating at the scene, police learned that the suspect had also harassed two other women on the street earlier in the evening.
