(Scroll down for video) A man and a woman were arrested after police found them passed out of a heroin overdose in a car with their young son in the back seat, according to police in Ohio.
The East Liverpool Police Department said that officers responded to a call of an incapacitated driver.
When they arrived, officers found 47-year-old James Acord and 50-year-old Rhonda Pasek unconscious in the vehicle. Their 4-year-old son was in the back seat of the vehicle and watched as police revived his parents with Narcan.
The incident unfolded on St. Clair Avenue around 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Police received calls about a man driving erratically and weaving in the road.
The driver, who was identified as Acord, stopped in front of a school bus that was packed with children. The car then veered to a side street before coming to a stop.
Police officers who approached the car, found Acord’s head swaying. He told officers that he was trying to take Pasek to the hospital.
Officers reached inside the car to turn off the engine. Acord then lost consciousness, and Pasek was already unconscious and turning blue.
The 4-year-old boy, who was not identified, was handed over to the custody of children services. Officials decided to publicize the photos of the passed out parents to warn other people about the dangers of heroin.
