73 people including 35 children arrested for drinking alcohol at Rumspringa Amish party

(Scroll down for video) A large number of police officers raided an alcohol-fueled Rumspringa party for the Amish, and arrested 73 people, according police in Ohio.

The Millersburg Police Department that among those arrested were 35 children, who were caught drinking alcohol at the party that attracted 1,000 Amish members from several states.

The incident unfolded on Saturday. The 35 children and 38 adults were charged with underage consumption of alcohol.

Several people were also charged with resisting arrest, and two suspects were taken to the hospital after suffering from alcohol poisoning.

Concerned parents called the police after observing children drinking large amounts of alcohol.

Police released a statement, saying that the Amish children will learn that they cannot drink alcohol before they turn 21 years old and residents will not tolerate underage drinking parties.
