Couple steals suitcase from Target and fills it with clothes before setting clothing rack on fire to distract workers

Police in California, were called to a Target, after a couple set fire to the store.

The incident occurred at around 5:25 p.m., at the Target store on the 4300 block of Pacific Commons Boulevard in Fremont.

Two suspects, a man and a woman, entered the store and shoplifted before starting the fire.

Police said that the couple took a suitcase from the store and the woman filled it with merchandise while the man acted as a lookout, police said.

The couple then set a rack of clothes on fire to distract employees, police said.

As employees and customers went to investigate, the suspects fled the store, police said.

The man is described as an adult black man in his late 20’s, about 5 foot 8 inches tall, medium build. He was wearing a dark baseball hat and black jacket, police said.

The woman was described as an adult black woman in her late 20’s, about 5 foot 9 inches tall, with dark hair in a ponytail. She was wearing a striped T-shirt and black tights, according to police.
