Man beats his wife because she hid TV remote when she came home from the gym

A man was arrested on a charge of battery after allegedly beating his wife because she hid the TV remote, according to police in Florida.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said that they have arrested 69-year-old Matthew Stanzione, after being accused of attacking his 71-year-old wife, who was not identified.

Stanzione has been charged with one count of charge of battery of a person over the age of 65. He was booked into the Marion County Jail, and is being held without bail.

According to the criminal complaint, the incident unfolded in Stanzione’s home on Wednesday, after his 71-year-old wife came home from the gym.

Stanzione began calling her names, and in response, she took away the television remote control and hid it in the laundry room.

Stanzione became very upset, and ran after his wife. He then assaulted her. The wife fell to the ground and suffered injuries.
