Angry woman puts out her lit cigarette in her boyfriend's eye because he came home too late

Police arrested a woman after punishing her boyfriend by putting out a lit cigarette in his eye.

The woman of West Virginia, is behind bars over the assault.

Police said that the woman placed the lit cigarette in the eye of her boyfriend, during a heated argument.

39-year-old Cindy Jean Underwood was arrested after attacking Jeremy Hughes, at the home they shared in St. Albans.

Underwood and Hughes allegedly got into an arguing because he came home late at night. At one point, Underwood became very angry, and poked Hughes in the eye with her lit cigarette.

Police discovered the injury to his eye when they were called to the scene on a complaint of destruction of property.

Hughes told police that he was unable to see and officers called an ambulance. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Underwood has been charged with felony malicious wounding. She was booked into the South Central Regional Jail in Charleston, where she is being held on $10,000 bail.
