A man was arrested on a charge of murder after being accused of killing his girlfriend by pulling out her lungs and heart, according to police in California.
Now, 28-year-old Alexander Anthony Clever of Pomona, has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading to a charge of first-degree murder in connection with the death of his girlfriend, Yvette Silva.
According to the criminal complaint, Clever, his girlfriend and two others, went to the Motel 6 at 2470 S. Garey Avenue.
Clever and Silva went into a bathroom and were arguing. Their companions tried to intervene after they heard muffled screaming.
Clever was then seen holding his unconscious girlfriend in a choke hold. The companions tried to free Silva, and then went to get help.
Police responded and found Silva in the shower with her heart and lungs removed from her body. She was alive when the organs were cut from her body.
