A principal of a high school freaked out and placed the building under lockdown after seeing a cowboy walking outside the school’s premises, according to police in Sweden.

The principal of the high school in Huskvarna, who was identified as Ulf Andersson, then called police to report a suspicious looking person carrying a gun in the area on Monday around 12:00 p.m.

Multiple police officers quickly arrived at the scene to remove the armed individual from the street, but they were shocked to find a young boy who was on his way to a party.

Police said that the principal panicked as one of the guns looked like a real weapon. The boy was waiting at a street corner to be picked up by his friend before police arrived at the scene.

The officers whisked away the cowboy from the scene. No charges have been filed. After getting the all clear signal from police, the school’s lockdown was lifted.
