(Scroll down for video) A foolish woman burned her newborn baby with hot water because she was angry with her boyfriend.

22-year-old Yva Monord has been charged with aggravated domestic battery and aggravated child abuse over the incident.

Police in Florida, said that Monord boiled hot water to sterilize a pacifier and bottle for her 2-month-old son.

She then took the boiling water and poured it over her boyfriend, 23-year-old Winsky Perpignan, and her baby who was sleeping next to him.

At first, Perpignan assumed that he knocked over the hot water, which was on the nightstand, while he was sleeping.

However, Monord later admitted that she deliberately poured the hot water over him because she thought he was cheating on her during their “on and off” relationship.

Monord told police that she did not know that Perpignan took the baby into their bed as they were both covered in a blanket.

According to the arrest report, the infant suffered second and third-degree burns to 5 percent of his body. He was burned mainly on his chest and arm.

Perpignan suffered second and third-degree burns to 20 percent of his body. He has burns over his face, neck, chest and arm and back.

Both the father and son are being treated at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville.

Monord was arrested, and she is being held in the Alachua County Jail on $50,000 bond.
