(Scroll down for video) A married woman fell to her death after getting locked out of her own home while with another man.
27-year-old Elena Gladkikh was intoxicated when she fell and became lodged between two buildings in New York City.
Gladkikh called her husband and asked him to come home to unlock the door for her, but by the time he arrived, he was confronted by his wife’s male friend.
The man told the husband that Gladkikh fell off the ledge. He called for help. Firefighters arrived and used a ladder to free her.
Gladkikh, who was a beauty consultant for Mary Kay cosmetics, was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where she died.
Police said that Gladkikh was five stories up when she fell off the ledge of 449 W. 37th St. at about 8:30 a.m.
The other man said that when he got together with Gladkikh, she was already drunk. They then sat on the roof and drank beer before she fell off the ledge.
Witnesses said that Gladkikh was only wearing a bra and underwear when she was rescued.
Police said that there were no immediate signs of criminality or suicide.
