(Scroll down for video) Target, which is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has announced that it will no longer have kids shopping carts in its stores after multiple parents complained of injuries.

The retailer pulled the plug on the kiddie carts earlier this week, just a month after it first placed them into 72 stores across the country for a test.

A spokesperson for the company said that they have received multiple complaints about bruised ankles and shins, and about the difficulty of managing their children who often got carried away with the kiddie carts.

Workers complained that children used the carts to bump into others. Workers also reported fights, as the parents refused to purchase the items that the children placed into the carts.

Those who do not have children expressed their dissatisfaction with traffic jams in the aisles as well as in the front of the stores.

The company noted that some customers liked the kiddie carts, but it has received more negative than positive comments.
