Truck driver carrying large amount of milk strikes and kills cow on road

Police launched an investigation after a cow was run over by a truck that was carrying a large amount of milk, according to police in Vermont.

The Vermont State Police said that 67-year-old James Aldrich of North Haverhill, New Hampshire, rammed his truck into the cow that was wandering on the road early on Sunday morning.

No charges have been filed.

According to the police investigation, Aldrich was driving on Route 5 around 5:00 a.m., when the cow walked into the road near the Four Corner Farms.

The cow died at the scene after the impact. Aldrich was delivering milk for the Mountain Milk company. Aldrich did not suffer any injuries.
