A young mother of 14 daughters is determined to keep going until she gives her husband a son.

Augustina Higuera of Texas, is just 29 years old, but she is already the proud mother of 14 children.

Higuera not only beat many odds by having a large family of girls only, but she beat odds of 500,000 to one when she gave birth to a third set of twins.

Although Higuera loves her daughters, she vowed to keep going until she has given her husband Jose, 30, a son.

“I have no limit on how many children I am willing to have. I would even have another 10 if it meant having a boy,” she said.

Higuera explained that she did not have any complications during any of her pregnancies.

Augustina and Jose do not rely on welfare to support their family. He earns £6,000 ($7,500) a month running a landscape gardening company.

Augustina’s four oldest daughters are not her husband’s biological children.

She married her 17-year-old high school sweetheart named Antonio, when she was just 15 years old. Texas law allows those over 14 to get married with parental consent.

However, they split up shortly after the birth of their fourth child.

When her baby was four months old, Augustina met Jose at a party and they fell in love. They got married and had 10 more daughters including three sets of twins.
