Students might find it awkward to face their teacher after she went public with her sex toy mishap.
However, the teacher said that even though the incident was embarrassing to her, she wants to bring awareness to the importance of seeking help for situations like these.
Emma Phillips, 24, of Wallasey, England, who has a two-year-old daughter, posted a photo of herself in the hospital on Facebook, and she explained that she needed surgery after a vibrator got stuck in her bottom.
Phillips said that she was intimate with her boyfriend Lee Miller, 29, when her pink vibrator went missing. At first, she thought that Miller hid it from her, but she soon felt it vibrating inside her body.
Phillips said that she and Miller first resorted to self help, and they used a fork handle and barbecue prongs to remove the toy, but when that did not work, she called an ambulance.
Phillips said that the emergency workers were very understanding and not judgmental.
She was taken to the hospital, where doctors took X-rays and realized that it was too high up and would be too painful for them to extract it manually while she was awake.
She was put to sleep and she underwent surgery to have the seven inch pink toy removed.
Phillips said that doctors offered her the toy as a keepsake, but she declined. She did however pose for photos, one of which shows her proudly holding a pink vibrator after it was removed.
Some people think that going public especially with the sex toy in her hand will ruin her teaching career.
Paul Gardner wrote a comment on the Facebook page of Phillips, saying: “Well she threw her teaching career down the toilet after she brazenly posed with the vibrator. All I am going to say is parents might have something to say about a teacher who is held up in society as a role model to the children they teach when they have well documented trip to the hospital for having a vibrator stuck up her backside.”
