A man was arrested on a charge of murder after allegedly killing his brother during a drunken fight, according to police in New York.

The New York Police Department said that they have arrested 56-year-old Francisco Perez of Manhattan, after being accused of the stabbing death of 63-year-old Luis Gonzalez.

According to the police investigation, Perez and Gonzalez were fighting in their apartment located at 58 West 105th Street around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Perez spent four years in jail after being convicted of robbery.

After he was released, he was convicted of selling controlled substances and was sentenced to serve two years in prison.
