A student was arrested on a charge of assault after allegedly using a fork to kill an unborn baby, according to police in Colorado.

Colorado Spring police said that they have arrested 23-year-old Ahmed Sameer Mohamed Almesbahi of Saudi Arabia, after being accused of raping a woman and then using a fork used for grilling meat in an attempt to terminate the victim’s pregnancy.

Almesbahi, who is in the country on a student visa, was charged with sexual assault, unlawful termination of pregnancy, assault, kidnapping, intimidating a witness or victim and menacing.

He was booked into the El Paso County jail, and his bail has been set at $150,000. If convicted, Almesbahi faces up to life in prison.

According to the police investigation, the couple met 4 years ago on a dating website, and lived together for some time in Denver.

They moved to Colorado Springs after Almesbahi enrolled as a student at the UCCS. At some point, the two broke up.

Almesbahi then raped the woman and got her pregnant.

Almesbahi, who comes from a wealthy family in Saudi Arabia, allegedly told the woman that his father would kill him if he did not get rid of the unborn baby.

One day, he confronted the woman with a fork used for grilling meat, and used it to kill the unborn child.
