Man uses scissors to cut off pregnant girlfriend's nipples during argument

(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested on a charge of battery after allegedly using scissors to cut off a woman’s nipples, according to police in South Dakota.

Sioux Falls police said that they have arrested 45-year-old Tony Ledbetter, after being accused of attacking the woman during an argument.

In court, Ledbetter pleaded not guilty to one count of domestic aggravated assault. He was booked into jail, and his bail has been set at $250,000.

According to the police investigation, the incident unfolded on Tuesday evening. The 39-year-old woman, who was not identified, had an argument with Ledbetter, when it turned violent.

Ledbetter punched his pregnant former girlfriend before slamming her head on the ground. He then tried to stop her screaming by stuffing a blanket into her mouth.

He then took scissors and cut off her nipples. The woman was rushed to a hospital, where she is being treated.
