Student falls to his death after smoking cigarette on roof and trying to climb back to his room through window

(Scroll down for video) A student fell to his death after going on the roof of his dorm to smoke a cigarette, according to police in West Virginia.

20-year-old Sean Guthrie of Toms River, New Jersey, was studying at the West Virginia University, where he decided to go to the roof and enjoy a cigarette.

The incident unfolded early on Sunday around 4:00 a.m.

After smoking his cigarette on the roof of the Kappa Alpha Order's house on North High Street in Morgantown, he tried to get back inside by climbing through a window.

Unfortunately, he slipped and fell 20 feet to the ground. He was taken to the J.W. Ruby Memorial hospital, where he died. Police said that Guthrie was not under the influence of alcohol.
