A man was arrested on a charge of drug supply after allegedly eating marijuana that he hid from police during a traffic stop, according to police in Canada.

Bomaderry police said that they have arrested 37-year-old Hamish Macintyre-Cathles, after being accused of being in possession of methadone and marijuana.

Macintyre-Cathles was charged with one count each of possessing a knife and drug supply.

According to the criminal complaint, police pulled over a vehicle one afternoon, and while they were talking to the occupants, officers noticed bags between two seats.

Police seized the bags, which contained methadone. Officers then told Macintyre-Cathles that he will undergo a strip search in the back of a police van.

During the search, Macintyre-Cathles initially refused to show his behind. When he finally showed his behind, officers saw something hidden in the rectum.

Macintyre-Cathles denied having anything in his behind. He was taken to a police station, where he admitted to eating a small amount of marijuana that was hidden in his behind.
