Model demands $5 million from hair stylist who accidentally scraped her neck during hair cutting demonstration

A model is demanding millions of dollars from a hair stylist because she suffered mental anguish following a scratch on her neck, according to court documents in New York.

23-year-old Michelle Kalinkina of Brooklyn, New York, filed a $5 million lawsuit against Martino Cartier, in federal court in Manhattan.

Kalinkina told the court that one day, she was getting her hair cut at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, as part of a demonstration.

Cartier was allegedly careless and accidentally scraped her neck. As a result, she was left with a scar, which causes her pain, shock and mental anguish.

She believes that Cartier is responsible because he was careless, negligent and reckless. Cartier operates salons under his name in Washington Township and Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
