Woman breaks her 64-year-old mother’s leg because she ordered her to stop assaulting another woman

A disrespectful woman caused her mother much suffering by breaking her leg.

The woman of Florida, was arrested for breaking her mother's leg during a domestic violence incident, police said.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office were called to a home after 41-year-old Shanna Burnett of 5331 Vernon Taylor Road, assaulted two women.

A 66-year-old victim told the police that Burnett hit her in the face during an argument.

Burnett then grabbed the victim by her arm and took away her phone while she was trying to dial 911, according to the arrest report.

Burnett's mother, who is 64 years old, then approached them using her walker and told her daughter to stop assaulting the older woman, according to the report.

Burnett responded by telling her mother to “shut her mouth or she would be next,” police wrote in the report.

She then grabbed her mother by the neck and threw her to the ground. Her mother fell and broke her right leg.

Doctors at the North Okaloosa Medical Center, said that the injury would require surgery. Witnesses told police that Burnett was angry over a comment made to her about employment opportunities.

Burnett had left the home before deputies arrived on Tuesday night, but she was located and taken to the Okaloosa County Jail in Crestview, on charges of felony battery and battery.
