A woman walked into the home of a married couple while the husband was home alone, and said that she came to sleep in his bed.

However, the man, whose wife was on her way home after dropping off children at school, refused her request.

Michael Smith of Tennessee, called police at around 8:30 a.m., after believing that the woman came to his home to steal items and that she just found a lousy excuse for entering his house after realizing that he was there.

Meanwhile, the suspect, who was identified as 34-year-old Savonna Mae Collier, ran out of the home. She tried to flee in Smith’s UTV.

At that time, Smith’s wife, who is a bus driver, arrived and used the bus to block Collier from escaping.

Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office Detective Marc Bass said that Collier parked her own car in a neighbor’s driveway and entered the Smith residence.

Police said that Collier, who appeared to be living out of her car, was under the influence of drugs and she likely entered the home to steal valuable items to purchase more drugs.

She was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery, theft over $10,000 and vandalism.

The vandalism charge stems from damage to the UTV as Collier jammed a object into the ignition to start it.
