North Palm Beach police said that they have arrested 52-year-old Gerald Anderson, after allegedly calling 911 more than 18 times while he was under the influence of alcohol.

According to the police investigation, Anderson was upset that his mother did not want to buy him food from IHOP. Instead of discussing the issue with his mother, Anderson called police to complain.

If convicted, Anderson faces up to a year in prison and a fine of up to $1,000. Over a two month period, Anderson called police 18 times.

Police came to the scene 14 times. Officers noticed that Anderson was intoxicated every time he called the police. He was warned not to call 911 for non-emergencies, but Anderson ignored them.
